**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in residential or commercial construction, completed at minimum level 1 carpenters' apprenticeship, or a combination of the two.
- Access to reliable transportation (options for carpooling are available)
- Ability to work well in a team setting, as well as with occasional supervision (depending on the project)
- Possession of the following items
- toolbelt (tape, hammer, square)
- hardhat
- high visibility vest
- steel toe boots
- raincoat or raingear
- Keen eye for detail
- Willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills
- Drive to complete jobs correctly and on time
- Capable of lifting heavy loads (upwards of 70Lbs. or more) & navigate construction site terrain
- Experience operating tools such as:

- skill saw
- jigsaw
- table saw
- chainsaw
- power drill

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Hours are dependent on the project, but normal hours consist of 7:00am - 3:00pm for commercial sites and 8:00am - 4:30pm for residential sites. Additional hours are sometimes available in the evenings and weekends (weather dependent) if necessary. Additional hours must comply with bylaws
- Climb to heights and conduct work in proper safety equipment
- Move materials to necessary locations (sometimes upstairs to different levels)
- Skillfully & safely operate power tools
- Help maintain a clean jobsite and trailer
- Organizing supplies and making sure you have all the required materials for the job
- Experience with the following would be considered an asset, but is not required:

- fixing/repairing tools
- concrete formwork
- window installation
- flooring installation
- tiling
- general handyman skills
