**Job Overview**
We are seeking a talented and innovative RF Design Supervisor to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our cutting-edge communications systems.

**In order to fulfill the tasks at hand, you’ll need to be highly experienced with this entire stack**:
**Resource Allocation**:

- Effectively manage and allocate personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure optimal use of resources across projects.
- Assess project requirements and coordinate with other departments to meet timelines and quality standards while balancing workloads and priorities.
- Proactively identify resource gaps and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring smooth project execution.

**Training and Mentoring, Performance Management**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to upskill team members, ensuring they are equipped with the latest technical knowledge and industry best practices.
- Act as a mentor by providing guidance, feedback, and career development support to help team members achieve their professional goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that motivates and empowers employees to perform at their best.

**Cross Training**:

- Promote and implement cross-training initiatives to build a versatile workforce capable of handling diverse tasks and roles.
- Encourage knowledge-sharing and collaboration among team members to enhance team flexibility and resilience in responding to changing project needs.Develop a cross-functional skill matrix to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement within the team.

**Technical Oversight**:

- Provide expert guidance and technical support during all phases of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve engineering plans, calculations, and designs to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Establish technical standards for system designs and commissioning.
- Monitor technological trends and recommend the adoption of new tools, methodologies, or processes to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.

**Tactical Resources on Projects**:

- Act as a hands-on leader, providing tactical support to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and other supervisors to align engineering deliverables with overall project objectives.
- Address and resolve technical challenges or bottlenecks promptly, minimizing delays and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Regularly assess project progress and resource utilization, making adjustments as needed to stay aligned with strategic goals.

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex situations effectively.
- Deep understanding of engineering principles, processes, and industry standards.
- Proficient in relevant software, tools, and systems used in engineering and project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Engineering or Technologist degree in Electrical, Computers, Telecommunications or similar field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license or equivalent certification, or eligibility for same, an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of in-building system engineering or designer experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Proven ability to implement training programs and mentor team members to achieve professional growth.
