Under the supervision of the Program Director, Media, and Communications Lead; the **Volunteer Communications Photographer** will photograph or film participants for the various summer programs offered and produce weekly slideshows or other program materials as requested.

**WHAT IS AMAZING ABOUT THIS JOB**:

- Work closely with camp staff to photograph or film campers and/or produce edited footage in slideshow and video editing software
- Complete tasks as assigned and to scheduled deadlines
- Work cooperatively and participate in camp activities where required
- Observe and promote all rules and regulations established for the program to include Appleby’s Mutual Respect policy
- Participate in all required training related to health and safety and that specific to camera equipment and production software as provided (online courses will be made available)
- Confirm all photo submissions have the proper parental approvals
- Ensure the safety and supervision of all campers

**YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU**:

- Have successfully completed a minimum of Grade 9 and/or be 15 years of age
- Are experienced in photography with the energy and enthusiasm to make participants and instructors enjoy being filmed/ photographed
- Have knowledge and experience with a digital SLR camera and filmmaking
- Are able to quickly learn graphics software through online and supervised training
- Understand graphics and video-editing software including Lightroom, Premiere, Photoshop, Final Cut, Photodex Proshow and online web galleries (such as SmugMug) would be considered as an asset
- Are excellent in communication, time management and organizational skills

**YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU**:

- Have secondary school education or minimum completion of Grade 9 and/or be 15 years of age
- Are excellent in communication, time management and organizational skills
- Are team oriented, motivational, creative, energetic and enthusiastic
- Make yourself available for the required training sessions:

- Are able to attend Training Sat.. June 15, 2024
- Possess valid Standard First Aid and CPR - C (certified on, or after Sept. 2022) is required
