Shop Foreman/woman

East Coast International Trucks Inc. is currently seeking a **Shop Foreman ** in our facility in Truro, NS to be responsible for the effective supervision of our service department to ensure that quality standards and productivity requirements are met.

Reporting to the Service Manager, responsibilities will include the training of staff members in service methods, safety, policies and procedures, as well as the identification and correction of potential work problems and health and safety issues. Through the effective management of targets, goals and service efficiencies, the Shop Foreman will ensure the ongoing success of the shop floor. He or she will act in the capacity of Service Technician as necessary.

**The Ideal Applicant will have the following qualifications**:

- You have a minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
- You have a minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience with demonstrated motivating and training.
- You have your license (red seal)
- You possess a valid driver's license.
- You work independently in a busy environment.
- You have proven experience with routine maintenance operations.
- You can effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- You can build and maintain lasting relationships with various internal departments, key business partners, and customers.
- You have strong negotiation and prioritization skills.
- You can resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- You can act as a Service Technician when necessary
