Structural Draftsperson

As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Draftsperson who can join our design and drafting team.

**Duties of this role include but are not limited to**:

- Generating detailed building plan sets for our production team based from layouts and designs created by our sales team. This includes framing plans, electrical, plumbing, detailed interior and exterior plans etc.
- Analyzing building code requirements.
- Generate BOMs for all projects and co-ordinate with our purchasing team.
- Work along side our production team carrying out daily inspections on builds to ensure that the plans are being followed and understood correctly.
- Analyze and follow building codes.

**Skills / qualifications.**
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD. Minimum 5 years experience.
- Strong structural knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of BC building codes.
- Experience creating BOM's is required.
- Must be able to adapt to different programmes. Our primary drafting program is Chief Architect.
- Must be very detail oriented, this position involves some very detailed work.
- Must have good social skills, communication with our team is key.
- Must be able to work well under own initiative.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 5 years (preferred)
- SolidWorks: 5 years (preferred)
- Creating BOM's/Take Offs: 2 years (preferred)
