**About the role**:
DNV Maritime Region Americas is seeking a **Surveyor and Auditor** to join our Montreal Station. As a fleet in service Senior Surveyor and Lead auditor for Montreal you will be member of a highly qualified team of surveyors and serving the maritime industry and various ship types (e.g.: bulk carriers, containers, general cargo, tankers, lakers, passenger vessels) calling ports in Quebec and Ontario provinces.

**This position is based out of our DNV office in Montreal, Quebec with a hybrid or flexible work arrangement.**

**What You'll Do**
- Conduct inspection surveys and certification of ships in service to ascertain the condition of mechanically functioning hulls, machinery, equipment, and equipage to determine repairs required for vessels to meet requirements for classification.
- Conduct inspection and certification of shipbuilding materials and of ships during construction.
- Ensure that the work or duties performed are in accordance with the Rules, Regulations,
- Instructions, Guidelines and quality requirements of the organization and the instructions of the line management.
- Work on major vessel conversions, alterations or any technical matters involving all type of vessels.
- Maintain the confidentiality of Clients' business, processes, designs, developments and documentation at all times.
- When applicable, to supervise the work of others and ensure that it is carried out as above and in an efficient and economic manner.
- Communicate to line management at the earliest appropriate opportunity if in receipt of information that is important to the reputation or integrity of the organization.
- Exhibit customer-oriented focus through promoting DNV onboard or on-site, and by acting as a technical resource for customer questions.
- Support Key Account Managers (KAM) as Technical Support Manager (TSM)

En tant qu'arpenteur-géomètre principal et vérificateur principal de la flotte en service pour Montréal, vous serez membre d'une équipe d'arpenteurs hautement qualifiés et au service de l'industrie maritime et de divers types de navires (p. ex. : vraquiers, conteneurs, marchandises générales, pétroliers, laquiers, navires à passagers) faisant escale dans les ports du Québec et de l'Ontario.

**Ce poste est basé à partir de notre bureau DNV à Montréal, Québec avec un régime de travail hybride ou flexible.**

**Ce que vous ferez**
- Effectuer des inspections et la certification des navires en service pour vérifier l'état des coques, des machines, de l'équipement et de l'équipement fonctionnant mécaniquement afin de déterminer les réparations requises pour que les navires répondent aux exigences de classification.
- Effectuer l'inspection et la certification des matériaux de construction navale et des navires pendant la construction.
- S'assurer que le travail ou les fonctions effectués sont conformes aux règles et aux règlements,
- Instructions, lignes directrices et exigences de qualité de l'organisation et les instructions de la direction hiérarchique.
- Travaux sur les principales conversions de navires, les modifications ou toute question technique impliquant tous les types de navires.
- Maintenir la confidentialité des activités, des processus, des conceptions, des développements et de la documentation des clients en tout temps.
- S'il y a lieu, superviser le travail des autres et s'assurer qu'il est effectué comme ci-dessus et de manière efficace et économique.
- Communiquer à la direction hiérarchique dès que possible s'il reçoit de l'information importante pour la réputation ou l'intégrité de l'organisation.
- Montrez une orientation axée sur le client en faisant la promotion de la DNV à bord ou sur place, et en agissant comme une ressource technique pour les questions des clients.
- Gestionnaires de comptes clés de support (KAM) en tant que responsable du support technique (TSM)
