**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Stocklisting**
- Complete fire sprinkler piping & material pick-offs based on sprinkler design drawings.
- Review architectural, structural, mechanical & electrical drawings to produce detailed pipe & hanger fabrication stocklisting sheets for the fabrication shop.
- Calculate trapeze hanger sizes.
- Review drawing package & visit sites to determine the layout and orientation of standpipe and zone control stations. Produce detailed fabrication sheets for zone control stations to allow the fabrication shop to build.

**Purchasing & Order Management**
- Receive quotes and estimates for materials needed for projects.
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price and obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items if needed.
- Coordinate the acquisition of materials to ensure they are on time and within budget.
- Submit orders with appropriate lead time to maximize productivity and efficiency in the field.
- Organize the delivery of product in accordance with job demands and schedules.
- Follow-up on incomplete POs and pending materials and track inventory.
- Liaise with the Fabrication Shop to ensure the accurate and timely fabrication of pipe, zone controls, etc.
- Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered, resolve shipment errors.
- Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.
- Order products and goods for inventory per company policies and procedures, adjusting as warranted.

**General Duties**
- Submittals - produce equipment submittals.
- Participate in project meetings with project managers & other trades for project coordination.
- Complete a field check to verify the accuracy of the final counts and measurements.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrity and completeness of materials.
- Provide technical and administrative support through all phases of the project.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience using sprinkler system design & stocklisting software (preferred)
- Familiar with the industry’s concepts, terminology, best-practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14 & 10 and codes governing the design/installation of fire systems.
- Ability to read and interpret codes, technical specifications and construction drawings.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to clearly communicate, in writing and verbally, with all project stakeholders
- Works efficiently to prioritize, meet project deadlines and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

**HOURS OF WORK**
- Full-Time, Permanent
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- Please note that compensation is dependent on experience._

**Salary**: From $32.00 per hour
