**Position Information**:
The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is looking for a dynamic and talented health leader to join its Cardiac Imaging leadership team as Administrative Director.

The cardiac imaging and diagnostics department encompasses a significant clinical service footprint, representing over 110,000 patient encounters per year throughout our various imagining modalities. Cardiac Imaging is home to over a hundred highly skilled and dedicated leaders, staff, physicians, and volunteers delivering on our mission which is inspired by a unique culture of excellence and innovation, promote heart health and lead in patient care, research and education.

**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President of Digital Health and Cardiac Imaging and Chief Information and Technology Officer, the Administrative Director is in a collaborative leadership team with the modality medical directors, and the Department Head of Cardiac Imaging. The Director provides strategic leadership, vision, and direction for clinical and research operations, including executing the operational workplan. The Director is ultimately responsible for the delivery of high-quality, safe medical imaging services, and ensures they comply with imaging standards and accreditation requirements.

The Director interacts extensively with clinical, administrative, management staff and physicians, both internal and external to UOHI, serving as the principal lead for cardiac imaging services. This position functions with a high degree of independence and autonomy and works closely with other Regional Directors of Medical Imaging across the province to standardize and coordinate the delivery of services for those we serve.

Key leadership deliverables for the Director will be to:

- Execute cardiac imaging transformation, including delivering on key strategic goals and metrics, all with an evolutionary mindset as it relates to partnerships, service planning and clinical and academic excellence with a broader regional model in mind.
- Lead innovation of clinical services models for the future, including visioning and planning for the collaboration with the TOH redevelopment, virtual care and EPIC optimization.
- Advance the profile of cardiac imaging by strengthening collaboration with both internal providers and external community partners and providers.
- Provide leadership and direct oversight to guide ongoing continuous performance and quality improvement and service line efficiencies.
- Prepare, monitor, and execute financial budgets, oversight, and accountability across financial operational objectives.
- Develop and empower a cohesive and collaborative team that is service-driven and focused on establishing an exceptional patient care experience.

Ideally, the Director will bring a track record of collaboration and relationship building and be passionate about leading change and implementing sustainable practices that continue to enable a high performing, outcome-focused team. A developer of people, the Director will have the ability to coach, mentor and empower medical imaging frontline leaders. He/she will be a visible leader, and an excellent communicator that effectively models UOHI corporate vision, mission, values and strategy to their managers and staff.

Basic Requirements and Critical Success Factors:

- Master's degree in health sciences or business/health administration (or equivalent combination of management and clinical experience).
- Minimum seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital or related health care environment, some of which should include management/leadership experience within medical imaging and diagnostic services.
- A strong passion for medical imaging innovation and implementation of solutions within UOHI, and with our regional partners as an enabler of clinical services transformation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of quality improvement methodology, leadership, and change management/transformation theory required to effectively lead change in a large and complex organization and with a high-profile provincial setting.
- Knowledge of strategic and operational planning, management principles and research-based practices.
- Excellent knowledge of the diverse patient populations that experience the various forms of treatment and care at UOHI.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to provide direction to others in managing competing priorities and balancing multiple tasks with often unpredictable and short deadline.
- Knowledge of quality improvement, financial practices, and risk management principles.
- Demonstrated strong financial planning, oversight, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills that can be employed in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
- History of building constructive and effective relationships and gaining credibility across disciplines
