Shop Hand

**_Aero Rental Services,_** _a division of _**_Western Energy Services Corp.,_** _is hiring a _**_Shop Hand _**_to join our growing team_

Western Energy Services Corp. is an oilfield service company which provides contract drilling services through Horizon Drilling in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing through Eagle Well Servicing in Canada, and provides rental services through Aero Rental Services in Canada.

**Position Summary**

This is mainly an in-shop oilfield position, where the individual is required to wash, transport, inspect, assemble and service rental equipment. This position will also be required to complete all aspects of shop service work and work orders.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Operating Forklifts and Overhead Cranes
- Delivery and pick ups using work truck
- Wash, inspect, assemble and paint equipment
- Responsible for shutting down and securing of shop, yard etc. when necessary
- Complete daily crane and forklift inspections
- Service and provide maintenance to all Aero equipment
- Ensuring SOP’s (standard operating procedures) are followed and improved upon
- Reduce LTA’s/LRI’s (lost time Accidents/Total Recordable Incidents)
- Participate in training programs that will enhance skills and abilities in performing job expectations
- Assist management with day to day operations including other items not mentioned above

**Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- 0 - 5 years industry related experience
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- General knowledge of safety procedures, manuals and other related resources
- Mechanically inclined is an asset
- Computer knowledge and skills are an asset
- First Aid Ticket an Asset but not required
- H2S Ticket an Asset but not required
- Forklift Training an Asset but not required
- Over Crane Certified an Asset but not required
- Valid Driver’s License

**Special Conditions of Employment**
- Overtime will be required as requested
