Course Description

Provides a critical analysis of the concept of inclusion with a particular focus on disability within historical, political, and educational contexts and equity seeking groups.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Degree(s) required:

- Masters or PhD in Educational Psychology, Human Development, Applied Psychology, Child Development, Clinical Psychology, or equivalent

Experience required:

- Background and/or courses in inclusive education
- Knowledge of working with teachers

Other requirements:

- If the applicant has not taught this course previously, but has taught in the hiring unit previously, she/he must have had satisfactory teaching evaluations that meet the Department’s expectations
- Adherence to evolving program requirements concerning course content and program-developed competencies; course content and references must reflect the most current advances in the field

Additional Information:
Effective dates of appointment are August 25, 2024 to December 11, 2024. Course dates are August 28, 2024 to December 4, 2024. This course will be offered in-person on campus at McGill.
