Position**:MANAGER OF COMMUNICATIONS**
Permanent Full-time
Reporting to: President & CEO, Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia
Salary range: $72,000-$85,000

**Duties**:
- Design, gather, write, maintain and update all content on the Foundation website.
- Oversee and create digital marketing strategies for Foundation social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube & LinkedIn), while compiling analytics.
- Create original content featuring partners, donors, grant recipients, volunteers, etc.
- Write and distribute media releases, e-blasts and quarterly e-newsletters.
- Create and maintain crisis communication plans.
- Manage marketing/communications relationships.
- Work with the Director of Development to ensure success of appeals and campaigns.
- Work with the Events Lead to support/promote third party events.
- Oversee production of annual Community Report and all in-house marketing.
- Speak to the media and at schools, organizations and events as required.
- Participate in all key Foundation events as required.
- Complete identified Business Plan goals & initiatives.
- Support all other team members as required.
**Qualifications**:
Post-secondary education and a minimum of five years working in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, English or a related field. Experience in the charity sector/fundraising will be considered an asset.
- Squarespace, Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, YouTube Editor, iMovie, Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Ads & HootSuite experience
- Raiser's Edge NXT
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding project and time management skills
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- Flexibility is required (ability to work some evenings/weekends and to travel)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a professional presence
- Bold thinking
