Journeyperson Parts Technician

Our supply chain team is responsible for the materials used by STEP in the field, shop and office. They provide an exceptional experience to both internal and external clients and maintain a high degree of accuracy, often under tight deadlines. This close-knit team is always looking for possibilities and ways to better support STEP professionals.

The journeyperson parts technician is responsible for the negotiation, purchase, and inventories of spare parts, consumables, PPE and materials used by STEP in various locations. This role is customer centric and requires an organized and efficient individual to maintain many moving targets. This role is essential in maintaining STEP standards to deliver both an Exceptional Employee Experience (EEE) and an Exceptional Client Experience (ECE).

WE REQUIRE:
**Education**:

- Provincial Journeyperson Parts Technician certification from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Red Seal status preferred

**Related Experience**:

- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic components
- Experience within the oilfield service industry is preferred
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

**On-call Rotation**:

- Regular hours will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 p.m. with overtime as needed
- This role participates in an on-call rotation in which the professional is required to be available 24/7 during a defined rotation to offer support the field and office professionals
