**_ Minimum Qualifications:_**
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Administration, or a related field, or combination of education and related experience
- 4-5 years of relevant experience supporting the public consultation process in a municipal environment or a related field
- Knowledge of and expertise in consultation and engagement principles and practices
- Excellent communication to develop strategies, procedures, and presentations for meaningful community engagement
- Excellent communication and technical skills to oversee and maintain the EngageBrant website
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives from conceptualization to realization in order to lead, manage and/or participate in a variety of projects
- Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet multiple deadlines
- Relationship building skills to build partnerships with key public stakeholders and Indigenous partners
- Demonstrated safe work practices
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekends, as required
- Valid drivers licence and satisfactory driver’s abstract

**_Duties:_**
- Develop public engagement policies and standards based on current best practices
- Plan, review, coordinate and advise on all public engagement and outreach initiatives from concept to final product; supporting all County of Brant divisions
- Consult with project managers and Senior Management to define engagement objectives, identify stakeholder role in decision making processes, determine engagement tactics and problem areas, and develop full engagement plans
- Oversee and coordinate public consultation events, including the facility rental and set-up, and virtual meeting requirements
- Facilitate public consultation events to increase meaningful stakeholder engagement and contribute to the planning process
- Review, interpret, contextualize and analyse engagement input and outcomes and provide recommendations on a course of action
- Prepare comprehensive reports, documents and materials for projects
- Continuous evaluation of available platforms, tactics and opportunities for engagement
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff in all departments, government agencies, surrounding municipalities and stakeholder groups
- Other duties as assigned

**Annual Salary** - $76,768 to $89,799 **(Job Grade 7 - Under Review) **35 hours per week
