**Manager, Shareholder Relations**

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 11

Employment type: Permanent Region: Lower Mainland

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 150,500.00 - 190,300.00

**What you'll do**
- Reporting to the Director of Shareholder Relations, the Manager of Shareholder Relations is responsible for supporting BC
- Hydro’s shareholder relations functions including reporting and information-sharing with the Province of B.C.
- This is an exciting and dynamic role in a fast-paced environment that leads a group of professionals while supporting the
- development and implementation of the strategy guiding BC Hydro’s shareholder relations efforts.-
- Contributes to the development of a company-wide strategy for shareholder relations that supports BC Hydro’s mandate

and aligns with other expectations set by the shareholder. Plays a key role in implementing the strategy and supporting the
- Director with any activities related to the strategy.and the executive team to advance specific objectives. Builds relationships externally with political and public service
- contacts within government.- Works with the Director to represent BC Hydro’s interests, positions and activities across government as well as with

federal departments and other provincial agencies.- Actively identifies and actions substantive, ongoing communications across various levels of Government with a series of

contacts and ensures the development of clear and engaging proactive communication tools including presentations and
- briefing notes.- Tracks, coordinates and monitors meetings and briefings with government and government agencies, and oversees the

tracking, development and organization of BC Hydro’s shareholder communications materials.- Works with other teams within BC Hydro to provide advice and guidance on working with government on projects and key

initiatives. Influences existing and emerging policies to help achieve business objectives while ensuring alignment with
- government.- Leads, mentors and manages a team of professionals to deliver on objectives related to shareholder relations.

**What you bring**- A university degree in a related discipline such as: business administration, communications, economics, finance, public

policy administration or political science.- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience including comfort in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of government operations, legislative and legislature procedures and the public policy process.
- Previous experience with utilities and/or energy industry considered an asset.
- Impeccable verbal and written communications and presentation skills essential.
- Expertise with digital communications is an asset.
- Active listener, facilitator, and strong relationship manager.
- Experience in team leadership with a proven record of mentorship and development and support of colleagues.
- Manage multiple activities against aggressive timelines.
- Position is headquartered in Vancouver with regular in-person presence and frequent travel to Victoria Ability to build

consensus and relationships.
Note: after hours work, including evenings and weekends may be required.
In-province travel may be required.
