Articling Student

Karma Legal Professional Corporation is a fast-paced young law firm located in Vaughan. We are looking for an energetic and motivated **Articling Student**. You have the opportunity to work closely with the lawyer and assist in the daily administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone who has:

- Completed three years of law school
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent research skills
- Attention to details
- Ability to work independently
- Highly developed time-management skills
- An interest in Family Law and Real Estate Law.

**Responsibilities**:

- Legal research
- Communications with clients
- Drafting and editing of legal letters and correspondence
- Drafting and editing of contracts, agreements, witness statements, policies, affidavits, and other legal documents
- Attending or assisting with client meetings
- Attending or assisting with mediations and court appearances

Our students don’t just do research (though research is important). They are exposed to every aspect of our practice, and entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities.

**Salary**: $15.50-$18.00 per hour
