Superior Glove Works Ltd.is currently seeking a **Senior Accountant / Supervisor, Payroll & Accounts Payable** to work out of its Global Headquarters located in Acton ON Canada.

**More about the role**:
Reporting to the Controller, the** Senior Accountant / Supervisory, Payroll & Accounts Payable** is responsible for overseeing and managing the Accounts Payable process, assisting with the month end, and year end processes and other regulatory filings. They should have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, a thorough knowledge of general accounting procedures, reporting and expense analysis, and journal posting. They must have excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other ERP software experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain fiscal periods and foreign exchange rates in the ERP systems.
- Approve and post overnight GL batches as it relates to sales invoicing and purchase invoices.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries.
- Complete month-end reconciliations of various Balance Sheet accounts including bank reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset ledger and other deposits related to equipment purchases.
- Process and reconcile intercompany GL transactions between entities.
- Assist with monthly KPI reporting.
- Oversee and supervise the Accounts Payable process including month end closure.
- Review and approve Accounts Payable invoice batches.
- Verify and ensure timely payments to various vendors.
- Prepare and file various payroll regulatory filings including, but not limited to WSIB/EHT/HAPET/Workplace NL
- Process and reconcile payroll related journal entries including vacation accruals.
- Work closely with the payroll administrator, acting as her backup to process the payroll when necessary.
- Prepare and file Canadian sales tax monthly/quarterly for various entities and provinces (GST/HST/PST).
- Support with the year-end audit working papers.
- Take on other duties and ad-hoc/special projects as required.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Post secondary degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Experience and familiarity with ERP Systems
- Advanced to expert level of knowledge in Excel
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Strong organization and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Previous experience in a leadership / supervisory role is required
- Have experience with, and/or knowledge of accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE)
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems - troubleshooting, system implementations
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is considered an asset
- Knowledge and experience with consolidations of multi-entity and multi-currency companies
- Experience with payroll related regulatory filings (i.e. WSIB/EHT/HAPET)
