- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario_
- Current BLS Certification_
- **EXPERIENCE**:_
- Minimum of two (2) years recent nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred with the ability to work to full scope of practice as defined by the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance _
- Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Medicine/Complex Continuing Care Nursing_
- Recent/related courses, in-services in Medicine/Complex Continue Care Nursing _
- **SKILLS/ABILITIES**_
- Ability to plan, organize and exercise effective decision making_
- Excellent critical thinking, communication and problem solving skills_
- Ability to prioritize and function both independently and interdependently with the inter-professional care team_
- Ability to engage patient and family partners in patient education related to the Medicine/CCC setting_
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education_
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position_
- Excellent physical assessment skills_

- Completion of IV Therapy Initiation and IV Therapy Discontinuation course_
