Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Payroll Business Analyst, you will actively participate in the analysis and resolution of complex payroll data issues, define work procedures resulting from legislative compliance changes and make recommendations to improve the payroll business process and promote best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist operational teams with more complex support cases.
- Perform the required validations during government changes that could affect the system configuration
- Participate in the analysis of requests for improvements resulting from compliance
- Actively participate in the creation of articles to keep payroll knowledge accessible to all, consistent and sustainable
- Implement processes and knowledge base using best practices, industry standards and repeatable processes.
- Support the operations team in the payroll process to ensure accurate data configurations and legislative compliance
- Build and implement best practice procedures and documentation with collaborating teams
- Participate in the validation of the quality and integrity of payroll data
- Work in collaboration with the product team to recommend functional improvements to our tools according to the cases investigated.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Training ''Understanding the principles of payroll and Mastering payroll legislation'' from Ahuntsic College or S.C.P. Certification from the National Payroll Institute (NPI)
- A minimum of three years experience in payroll legislation.
- Knowledge of the payroll cycle
- Technical planning, documentation, analysis and management of business requirements
- Good knowledge of recognized office automation tools and other tools such as JIRA and Confluence an asset
- Knowledge of Visio and BPMN standards, an asset

SKILLS
- Ability to diagnose situations to find the ''Root Cause
- Ability to understand a technical or legislative document and transcribe relevant information for an audience less familiar with these fields
- Ability to collect needs and translate them into requirements
- Ability to analyze and model business processes
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and reconcile divergent opinions
- Analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to listen and empathize
- Autonomy in managing time and priorities while being able to work in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French, English is an asset
- Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously.
