- **Familiarity with Loadlink and Other Load Boards**: Utilize industry tools to optimize load planning and maximize efficiency.
- **Comfortable in a Fast-Paced Environment**: Thrive in a dynamic setting where quick decision-making and adaptability are essential.
- **Team Player with Initiative**: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and willingly take on additional tasks as needed.
- **Strong Interpersonal Skills and Self-Motivation**: Build rapport with carriers and clients while proactively addressing challenges and opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Efficiently plan, schedule, and dispatch trucks and drivers to meet delivery requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch documents and records.
- Monitor driver logs for compliance and address any errors or violations promptly.
- Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and update information within the system as needed.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with carriers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Broker freight for Canadian and US customers, handling both LTL and FTL shipments.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding freight details, delivery schedules, and special requests.
- Stay informed about transportation regulations and laws to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with various departments to optimize operational efficiency.
- Identify and secure LTL loads to utilize available trailer space efficiently.
- Prioritize orders, monitor trip progress, and proactively communicate with customers as required.
- Provide mentoring and support to drivers as necessary and be available to answer after-hours calls.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dispatcher role.
- Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS), such as Samsara and Tailwind, is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
- Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations, laws, brokerage, and border clearance.

Pay: $18.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
