You will be working with the latest technologies and tools, and collaborating with our customers, our CTO, our marketing team, and our dynamic engineering team to plot our strategic direction. You will be evaluating the competitive landscape, prioritizing enhancement requests from customers, and deciding which strategic initiatives and functions will bring the most value to our customers. You will work with our marketing and training teams to generate collateral for the initiatives you lead and present this content you develop to our field teams and our customers. Your decisions will help to drive Solace’s growth in the real-time event movement space and shape our integration strategy.

**This position is **available for remote work. You can be located anywhere in North America.**

**You **will be responsible for**:

- Defining the strategic product roadmap and business direction for our Event Driven Integration offering.
- Evangelizing our strategic roadmap direction with customers to make sure we meet their business needs.
- Working with our field teams to understand customer pressures and sales obstacles and work to remove them.
- Balancing product vision & roadmap with partner and customer feedback, competitive analysis, prioritizing across a diverse set of inputs and constituents.
- Understanding product adoption by using metrics and KPIs to measure growth.
- Partnering with Industry experts to identify high-impact business problems that will bring exponential growth to our team.
- Defining pricing and packaging for the products you lead.
- Helping Solace take products to market and drive customer adoption by delivering resources for marketing, training, blogs, demos, customer success, and developer communities.

Solace Product Managers need to be highly skilled technically, with strong communication and customer skills. They must possess the ability to work with all the internal and external stakeholders to understand in detail the product use-cases and requirements, and clearly communicate those requirements to the engineering team.

Our Product Managers must understand the technology and use cases in detail so they can guide the solution. They must also be pragmatic in setting the product direction and exhibit a strong understanding of the business impact of their product choices and decisions.
- Experience defining product strategy by leading aspects like strategic roadmap definition, customer discovery, pricing strategies, market opportunity understanding, SWOT analysis, etc.
- Experience taking products to market by collaborating with product marketing to define product positioning, enablement strategies, sales collateral, etc.
- Superior communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
- Direct, hands-on experience with Hyperscale Cloud Services or Integration Platforms.
- Experience building or architecting a distributed software system or software as a service (SaaS).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with messaging technologies and interfaces such as JMS, AMQP, MQTT, and REST.
- Experience with real-time systems, event brokers, or messaging middleware is a plus.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
