**Job Title**: Treasury Associate

**Location**: Head Office, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Supporting the Treasurer, the Treasury Associate makes a significant contribution to the achievement of operational targets by being responsible for various activities including managing the cash position and working capital of G3 and its associated companies. This is achieved by ensuring that cash is available in required bank accounts in order to meet the financial commitments of the company, while also managing liquidity related to corporate credit facilities. This role is also responsible for managing the foreign exchange risk of the company, supporting the corporation’s insurance program as well as assisting in the financial risk management activities of the corporation. This position works independently with limited supervision.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Cash Management & Foreign Exchange
- Manages day-to-day cash position of the corporation and its associated companies, including daily review of daily cash flow forecasts, and investment of surplus cash.
- Develops procedures and recommends policy for cash forecasting and investing processes.
- Performs complex financial modeling of long-term, forecast cash positions.
- Develops and recommends foreign exchange risk management strategies and policies by conducting detailed and specific qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Identifies, analyzes and models interest rate and foreign exchange risks arising from corporate initiatives.
- Develops and recommends appropriate hedging strategies, and implements hedging programs.
- Back-tests the effectiveness of new cash management & Exchange strategies and recommends necessary changes, if required. Analyzes changes in market, economic and regulatory conditions to assess impacts on current strategies.

Working Capital Management
- Manages daily working capital reporting and forecasting related to corporate credit facilities.
- Develops processes and procedures related to working capital forecasting, reporting, and debt management.
- Develops tools and recommendations used by operations to make business decisions with consideration of effects on working capital.
- Performs reporting for lenders related to credit facilities.

Insurance
- Operates, on a day-to-day basis, G3’s insurance program, including responding to requests for information from both internal stakeholders and brokers and insurers.

Banking
- Maintains effective external relationships with financial institution service providers and acts as liaison between banks and G3 Accounting and business units to ensure appropriate bank services are secured and applicable. Such activities include opening and closing bank accounts, and handling ‘Know Your Client’ (KYC) and ‘Anti-Money Laundering’ (AML) matters with financial institutions.

Other
- Leverages internal and external peer relationships, market statistics and industry data to deliver market insights to the business (attends industry events, networks and follows trends within the industry).
- Monitors and reports on developments in financial markets which affects the operating environment of G3.
- Performs various other duties and projects as assigned by management.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelors’ degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
- An MBA, CFA, ASA, or FRM is required. Accounting designations may be considered as well.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in an accounting or finance environment with Treasury experience required.
