Cabinet Maker/joiner

Windridge Living Inc., a high-end custom home builder, is looking for a skilled cabinet maker/joiner to head up a small team of wood craftsmen in its custom cabinet division. Our shop incorporates in-house design, manufacturing, and finishing. The manufacturing shop has a complete machinery package to cover both contemporary and traditional techniques in solid wood and veneered materials.

**What We’re Looking For**:
A Senior Lead Cabinetmaker with experience and a passion for quality work. The ability to lead a team to complete large-scale projects from stock material to finished product.

A leader for our cabinetmaking team, with attention to detail, extensive woodworking knowledge, and creativity; resulting in superior cabinets and millwork.

**Job Duties**:

- Interpret plans and specifications
- Operate woodworking machines and use hand tools to cut, shape, and form wooden parts and components
- Produce custom solid wood items
- Assemble high-end millwork and joinery using pre-machined components following millwork shop drawings
- Quality control
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Coordinate and oversee the work of other team members.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Cabinetmaker Red Seal Certificate (optional)
- Strong knowledge of new and old cabinet making techniques
- Experience of cabinet and freestanding furniture construction.
- 5+ Years’ experience
- Valid driver’s license
- High level of attention to detail
- Desire to learn and develop

**Physical Requirements**:

- Work collaboratively and solely as required
- Stand/walk/crouch/kneel for long period of time
- Lift and carry materials weighting up to 50 lbs, occasionally more than 50 lbs with assistance

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Leadership: 3 years (required)
- Carpentry: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
