**The Role: Product Test Manager**
The Product Testing Manager is responsible for all physical testing completed within the Product Group. This is a key role that supports the development and design verification of Svante’s products.
This position requires an experienced individual adept at test equipment sourcing and design, data collection systems development, test results communication and full lifecycle documentation.
This is a leadership position and will be expected to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, promote a safe work culture, provide guidance and mentorship to everyone working in the Testing Group, and support career growth of all team members.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:
- Work with product technology and development teams to define, design, develop, program, procure, build, commission, calibrate, operate, and schedule the test resources.
- Deliver all data pertaining to test investigations carried out.
- Ensure the safety of all test equipment and processes including complete documentation, training mentorship of team members.
- Maintain full lifecycle documentation including but not limited to: requirements defined at inception, design documentation, build and/or purchase documentation, commissioning, calibration, operation, and data acquired. This data and documentation will be controlled and catalogued for the benefit of the company.
- Develop resource plans outlining budget, labor hours and skillsets, and timing to meet the defined intent. This may require research and sourcing of equipment, design, development and build of specialized equipment, reprogramming or re-purposing of existing equipment or be a combination of solutions.
- Take personal responsibility for the morale of the test team and always ensure that Svante Goals and Values are represented to internal and external customers and suppliers.
**Key Qualifications**:
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of technology design and development within rapidly growing new technology field. Ideally this should be within technologies like Svante’s.
- Hands-on, building and implementing equipment controlled by software, preferably in an industry associated with the flow of gases.
- Advancing technology using investigative technologies and testing is highly desirable
- Knowledge:
- Excellent grasp of first principles in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and similar software.
- PLC or IPC programming software is an asset.
- A thorough understanding of design validation techniques and practices.
- Ability to develop plans and organize activities in a logical way to hit the timelines.
- Ability to develop clear and concise documents and presentations.
- Excellent analytical skills that result in making sound decisions and recommendations.
- Education:
- Engineering to, at least, bachelor’s degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
