Chemical Compounder

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Compounder to join our epoxy manufacturing team. As a Chemical Compounder, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient execution of our epoxy manufacturing schedule. Your responsibilities will include accurately measuring, blending, mixing, and preparing batches according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

**Salary Range**:
Starting Salary is $22-25 per hour

**Responsibilities**:

- Clean tanks and set up equipment for all batches, ensuring a sanitized and efficient work environment.
- Confirm compounds and accurately weigh, blend, and prepare batches following SOPs and GMPs.
- Execute batches accurately, documenting any changes and recording QC results.
- Assemble, operate, and conduct minor repairs of equipment, ensuring smooth operations throughout the production process.
- Maintain general housekeeping of the compounding area, upholding cleanliness and organization standards.
- Package products into finished containers and label as required.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or GED, consideration given to those with further education and or skills such as trades or power engineering experience.
- Criminal Background Check will be required

**Preferred**:

- Forklift Training/Experience preferred.
- Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. (2+ years)
- Preferred but not necessary: Experience in batch making, such as food manufacturing, chemical compounding, or pharmaceutical compounding.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Knowledge of WHIMS, SDS, and TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) is helpful.

**Work Environment**:

- Ability to spend long periods of time walking and standing.
- Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to move containers with proper material handling equipment.
- Able to wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Must have the ability to perform basic math functions.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, and computer knowledge.
