**What you will be doing**:
An ambassador for the **Muir** brand, the Pedicab Driver is responsible for providing transportation services along the picturesque Halifax waterfront for hotel guests and tenants of the Queen’s Marque residence. As a Pedicab Driver, you will be responsible for safely navigating designated routes, offering commentary on local attractions, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for passengers. Following all required luxury standards to provide an anticipatory service, the Pedicab Drivers deliver service with professionalism and a guest focus.
- Operate a pedicab safely and efficiently along designated routes
- Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests and tenants, including assisting with boarding and disembarking
- Offer commentary on points of interest, landmarks, and historical sites along the waterfront
- Ensure passenger safety at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the pedicab to uphold a professional image
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the pedicab to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate effectively with passengers to address any questions or concerns
- Collaborate with hotel staff to coordinate transportation services and provide assistance as needed
- Ensure all guests fill out appropriate wavers for equipment
- Ensures knowledge of hotel features and information (e.g., dining, events, amenities, etc.)
- Conducts duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication in maintained
- Complies with all Hotel Standards and Procedures including grooming and uniform standards
- Able to work any shift that is assigned to them by the leadership Team
**Your experience and skills include**:
- Familiarity with local area, landmarks and attractions
- Availability for the full Summer season, mid-June to October preferred
- Physically able to operate a pedicab for extended periods
- Outgoing, enthusiastic and personable
- Patience, discretion, confidentiality and courtesy essential
- Excellent communication abilities - with English as mandatory and a relevant second language an asset
**Shifts**: Vary in their start and end time and can change due to the needs of our guests. A mixture of days, evenings, holidays and weekend shifts.
