New York Institute of Technology, Vancouver Campus is seeking a part-time Adjunct Professor.

**Responsibilities**:

- Program instruction delivery of the Technical Communications program, including:_
- instructing on postgraduate academic skills development, critical thinking, and independent learning support,
- providing oversight and direction for ongoing evaluation through peer collaboration,
- attending faculty meetings,
- grading and submitting final reports,
- updating curricular approach in accordance to student and program needs,
- and updating the program supervisor and/or Student Life Services staff of any areas of concern with students.
- Support for Special/At-Risk Student Populations_
- Support the delivery of individualized programs for students with learning challenges, English as a second language, or academic probation. This is in consultation with Student Life Services.

Qualifications:

- Qualifications_
- A Master’s degree in Education or Linguistics, or a field of study that supports the ability of the Academic Skills team to offer a range of expertise across disciplines is required.
- At least five years' experience teaching postgraduate academic skills, or related field in a higher education setting is preferred.
- Experience and Skills Required_
- Demonstrated understanding of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the conventions of scholarly research, and expectations of academic integrity.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to collaborate and support a team.
- Flexible Language Requirement: _French not required
- Ability to commute/relocate: _Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
