The Town of New Tecumseth is looking for a Maintenance Clerk - Water and Wastewater to join the Water and Wastewater team.

This position administers, monitors and develops, through continuous updates, all aspects of tracking, scheduling and reporting on activities within the Maintenance Water and Wastewater Business Units, primarily through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in an effort to improve efficiencies and reduce overall maintenance costs.
**How you contribute to our organization**:
- Perform all aspects of administrative work related to the servicing and maintenance of Water/ Wastewater systems, equipment and such other systems owned by the Municipality, through development and use of the Town’s computerized maintenance management system.
- Use CMMS to monitor our work order system, preventative maintenance, and spare parts inventory. Provide support to system users as required.
- Process, track and file aspects of work orders, purchase orders and invoices related to equipment maintenance costs and efficiency. Develop and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies to assist with the efficient completion of required and preventive maintenance activities.
- Responsible for accuracy and safekeeping of maintenance reports and records.
- Liaise with facilities and contractor groups associated with the Maintenance Department for scheduling both repairs and preventive maintenance activities, reports and follows-up activities such as, but not limited to, calibration programs, inspection programs, repair work etc.
- Write RFQs, RFPs, Memos and Reports as required for Water, Wastewater and Maintenance Business units.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**What you bring to the team**:
- 1 year post-secondary certificate in Business Administration, Office Assistant or related field is required.
- Must have a valid “G2” level driver’s license in good standing.
- 2-3 years’ experience within a related clerical role
- Requires computerized maintenance management administrator or equivalent experience. Mechanical and or electrical experience would be an asset.
- Experience in or related to water and/or wastewater operations as well as Ministry of Environment licenses would be an asset.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Project, Outlook as well as Internet and. Must have demonstrated strong computer skills, a working knowledge of relational databases and the ability to learn new software as required.
- Must have strong organizational skills and an ability to manage time sensitive work.
**Salary**: $50,323.00 - $62,899.20, plus 4% vacation pay and optional enrolment in OMERS pension
**Hours**:35 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
**Start Date**:January 6, 2025
