Express Freight Labourer

**POSITION**: Exress Freight Labourer - Summer Student

**DEPARTMENT**: Rail Transportation

**LOCATION**: Cochrane

**REFERENCE**: 100-08-25

**SALARY**: $17.30/hour

**WHO WE ARE**:
**MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Interior and exterior maintenance associated with the general appearance of the Yard Office and Express Freight.
- Heavy janitorial cleaning, raking leaves, ground /building maintenance, sweeping sidewalks, /warehouse interior, cleaning company vehicle, and occasional painting, etc.
- Loads and unloads customers baggage in designated baggage/line cars and baggage kiosks
- Perform warehouse duties, ensuring local freight is placed for delivery and transship freight is placed in correct outbound cars.
- Will assist in the securement of customer vehicles onto designated flatcars in accordance with company policies & procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by Management
- Summer Term: May to September

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be registered for school in the Fall of 2024 and provide proof of attendance for the 2024-2025 school year
- Must be committed to Company Health and Safety
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
- Self motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Previous cleaning/labor experience an asset
- Ability to work shift work and weekends
