English Tutor

**About us**

EZRA Maple Ridge (EMR) has been operating a comprehensive management program for international students in collaboration with Maple Ridge School District 42 since 2007. We offer customized after-school classes to help improve students' grades according to the BC curriculum and assist with college admissions management and homestay arrangements. We strive to facilitate successful student study abroad experiences by conducting various tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver effective English language lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Assess students' language proficiency and develop personalized learning plans
- Assist students in developing strong language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
- Provide guidance and support in reading comprehension and written expression
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other tutors and staff to ensure student success

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in teaching English as a second language or tutoring English
- Must know English grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation well
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Experience in English proficiency tests is an asset (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, SAT, etc.)
- Ability to communicate in Korean is an asset

Working Hours: 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Maple Ridge, BC V2X 2T4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
