We are looking for the following qualification for the R.E.C.E role:

- Is dependable and flexible and is able to communicate effectively and professionally with children, staff and parents.
- Must possess strong programming skills and be able to utilize the ELECT framework in collaboration with the play-based model to effectively plan appropriate learning opportunities for all age groups.
- Must have a strong understanding of regulations and legislation in Early Childhood Development Programs
- Be able to carefully observe and document children’s development and learning, to plan a curriculum which meets each child’s interest, needs and strengths.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Daily Reporting and Record-Keeping - Attendance, Allergy, Medication, Communication Logs
- Plan and develop program webs in line with children’s interests. Monthly calendars will be provided so that teachers are able to create a program that meets all targets to engage all children
- Programming must be child-directed, and the teacher supported in accordance with “How Does Learning Happen"?
- Support children with emotional, physical, or behavioural problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills
- Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities
- Maintain up-to-date emergency cards, attendance, and health and safety checks
- Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
- Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms, program reporting
- Manage and maintain an orderly classroom - follow cleaning schedules and room routines
- Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA
- Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time

Upon hire, you will be required to have current Standard Level C-First Aid/CPR, 2 Step TB, Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
