**Bookkeeping Administrative Assistant**

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Bookkeeping Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors in all aspects of financial management for the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, not for profit accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, contract compliance, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and organize all daily record keeping including general data entry, expenses and expense tracking.
- Performing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions including balancing cash and posting transactions.
- Accurately posting transactions utilizing Simply Accounting.
- Accurate and timely submission of payroll hours.
- Prepare financial reports and prepare budget(s) for CANSA leadership including the Board of Directors, funders and community partners.
- Knowledge of HST submission processes
- Bank reconciliations
- Consult and support the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors as required.

Education and Qualification:

- Degree or diploma in financial management and administration
- Minimum 3 years recent experience working in a not-for-profit environment.
- Superior communication skills
- Strong accounting and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of funding eligibility costs related to funding programs and grants.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, Simply Accounting, and Access database.
- Knowledge of LaMPSS Administration for contract agreement is an asset.

Part time: Hours to be determined

Working location negotiable.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
