**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of **Meat Clerk at our Seasons Food Store located at 755 Sterling Lyon Parkway, in Winnipeg **. This position reports to the Meat Manager. The Meat Clerk adds value to our Co-operative by delivering world-class customer service; packaging and pricing cuts of meat, poultry and seafood; merchandising and displaying packaged meat; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

- Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
- Deliver world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient.
- Maintain sections of merchandise (fresh, smoked, and frozen meat) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Meat Manager.
- Ensure the Meat Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
- Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
- Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat for sale on self-serve counter.
