**Job Title**:Client Support Worker

**Reports To**:Director

**Position Type**:Part-Time (approx 15 hours/week)

**Position Summary**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Direct Client Support**:

- Encourage clients towards independence in daily living activities, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Teach clients tasks such as meal preparation, grocery planning, and house chores when they require it.
- Occasionally providing transportation for clients to appointments, job interviews, and other necessary destinations.
- **Emotional and Spiritual Support**:

- Offer prayer, biblical encouragement, and spiritual guidance to clients.
- Create a supportive environment that reflects Christian values and fosters spiritual growth.
- **Safety and Well-being**:

- Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients.
- Monitor client well-being and report any concerns to the Program Director and Case Manager.
- **Activity Coordination**:

- Plan and facilitate recreational and educational activities for clients.
- Encourage client participation in community events and programs.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other staff members, volunteers, and ministry partners to provide care.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- **Compliance and Ethics**:

- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Ensure confidentiality and respect for client privacy in all interactions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in social work, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in a support worker role, preferably within a faith-based organization.
- **Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong commitment to Christian faith and the mission of Selah Place.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work compassionately and effectively with diverse populations.
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Demonstrated integrity, humility, and servant leadership.
- High level of empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Work Environment**:

- **Work Conditions**:

- This role primarily operates within the residential setting of Selah Place with some local travel required.
