Looking for a team member who is immediately available to join our team.

The Room Attendant is someone who is reliable and a friendly hospitality team member in order to provide superb customer service to our guests. The Room Attendant duties will include ensuring that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to the highest Best Western standards. You should also be able to resolve guest complaints and queries promptly and in a polite manner.

To be successful as a Room Attendant you must be honest, pleasant, and have detailed knowledge of, and comply with, all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards

**Responsibilities/Duties**
- Greeting guest and responding to queries.
- Sets up cleaning cart with supplies. Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
- Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls closets and fixtures in rooms.
- Washes shower walls and tub cleans toilets. Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks, and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest restrooms.
- Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest, or is soiled or torn, to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
- Cleans kitchen sink, appliances, and dishes.
- Washes all hard floor areas (tiles etc.) by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
- Dusting, polishing and sanitize all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.
- Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens.
- Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies (i.e. hangers, extra blankets, sheets and extra pillows).
- Vacuums carpets.
- Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and team members.
- Checks lights and remotes to ensure all are in working order.
- Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
- Record of all Lost & Found Items.
- Extra cleaning in areas on days when no or few room rentals have occurred. Required to participate in large cleaning projects during the year, i.e. Deep Cleaning of guest room.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Attend mini meetings at the start of each shift as well as monthly meetings when required.
- Wear clean proper uniform & name tag at all times and maintain a personal cleanliness.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

**Physical Demands**

List any physical demands associated with the position:

- Lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, standing, stooping for extended periods of time.
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighting up to 100 lbs. (i.e. Housekeeping cart)
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks.

**Other Qualifications**
- Ability to read, speak & write in English.

**Working Conditions**

Scheduled work week varies on room demand Shift rotation: Yes

Variations to regular work week: As per schedule over seven days, ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends & holidays.

Number of hours per week: 16 to 32 hours Number of hours per day: 6 to 8 hours, daily between 8am - 5pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.17 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff will have the choice to wear their mask, even when the mask mandate is no longer in place. Hand sanitizer stations are remaining throughout building. We have not been a covid quarantine hotel and will not be one in the future.

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
