**Position Description for the Audio and Video Recording Technician**

**Background Requirements**:

- proficient with audio and video editing software
- has access to own audio and video recording equipment outside of what is available at Trinity UC
- strong problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- strong time management skills with the ability to set priorities and pay attention to details
- able to work both independently with no supervision as well as able to work well with others

**Primary Responsibilities**:
Edit and produce the weekly church services, along with other services throughout the duration of the contract (e.g., Good Friday), which may include but is not limited to:

- Set up, prepare, operate, and adjust audio, recording, editing and reproducing equipment to record, edit and reproduce sound input or feed of pre-recorded material from tapes, records, compact discs, digital audio devices, and input from live microphones for weekly videos of a church service and other services throughout the duration of the contract (e.g., Good Friday)
- Prepare and operate videotape recording and playback equipment to record weekly church service and other services throughout the duration of the contract (e.g., Good Friday), and to edit video tape after production
- Operate electronic equipment to generate program titles, credits, sub-titles, graphic backgrounds or animation for weekly church service and other services throughout the duration of the contract (e.g., Good Friday)

Other duties as required.

**Employment Details**:

- Hours of Work:_

This is a temporary part-time position for approximately 8 hours per week. The position starts Sunday July 2, 2023 with an end date of July 1, 2024.

- Rate of Pay:_

The rate of pay for this position is $15.50 per hour, less deductions (CPP, 4% vacation pay, EI, and provincial and federal government taxes as applicable). All employees of Trinity United Church are paid bi-weekly through direct deposit payroll.
- Employment Standards, Health & Safety_:
Employment standards for all employees of Trinity United Church follow guidelines set by the United Church of Canada and the Ontario Employment Standards Act. The COVID-19 safety protocols for all employees of Trinity United Church are laid out in the Trinity United Church COVID Reopening Plan.

- Supervision_:
As with all employees of Trinity United Church, the AV Recording Technician reports directly to the Trinity Ministry & Personnel Division and has a representative dedicated to them who is a member of the Trinity Ministry & Personnel Division.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

- Every Weekend
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cobourg, ON K9A 3R1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
