Wrapex is currently looking for a **local** **Foreman** to start immediately for long term work in Lloydminster. The shift for this position is M-F, 9 hours per day with every other Friday off, totaling 80 hours per pay period. **Local residents will be prioritized.
- Job Duties_
- Execute industry acceptable building practices using both Tube & Clamp and System Scaffold
- Must be able to lead, mentor and direct crew as required and able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to follow direction and work with mínimal supervision
- Must be in good physical condition and able to work at heights
- Must be able to work safely and follow safe work procedures
- Education, Skills, and Responsibilities_
- Journeyman certification or Non Ticketed Journeyman preferred; otherwise, must provide proof of hours relevant to scaffolding and previous industrial experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety documents, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Demonstrate practical problem-solving ability.
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work with mínimal supervision or in small teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adequate computer skills.
- Strong hand-eye coordination.
- Climb heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints.
- A high regard for health and safety in the workplace.
- Confident participating in safety meetings, daily toolboxes, and hazard assessments prior to commencing daily work activities.
- Job Specific Tasks_
- Unloading scaffolding material on site
- Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding
- Erecting scaffolding poles
- Laying planks for workers to walk on
- Fixing guard rails and safety netting
- Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete
- Comfortable with tube & clamp and system scaffolding techniques.
- Supervise crew, communicate with management and site representatives.
- Working Conditions_
- Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs of materials
- Physical demands; bending, walking, climbing
- Working outside in inclement weather conditions
- Potential exposure to high noise levels and hazards common to industrial plant settings
