**Reporting To**:Senior Projects Manager

**Primary Objective**:
Under general supervision, the Site Superintendent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Always keep Health and Safety of the utmost importance, conforming with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ontario Regulations 213/91, and COR Requirements
- Involved in the entire construction process, and able to follow through on the project in its entirety
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the contract requirements
- Plan, execute, and coordinate work plans for assigned projects for the mechanical division and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Organize and supervise site staff, trades, and contractors and ensure that they are performing as required
- Review construction plans for compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances, such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC
- Ensure the project proceeds in a timely manner and plan tasks to ensure deadlines and milestones are met
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained to continue with the project
- Constantly monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Ensure the quality of work and materials are upheld.
- Manage employee hours
- Responsible for the coordination and lead on all site health and safety requirements including job site inspections, safety talks, PPE requirements, health and safety plans, FLRA, site orientation, MOL inspections, accident, and incident protocols
- Oversee assigned projects for compliance with specifications, local codes, and installation techniques
- Monitor and ensure contractors and subcontractors understand expectations of the project prior to the start date
- Ensure contractors and subcontractors are made aware of their roles and responsibilities regarding safe work procedures and comply with all companywide safety policies and procedures
- Ensure testing, start up and field level reports are submitted

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of Construction experience in a similar role
- Mechanical Engineering Degree, P. Eng., or MBA an asset
- Project management experience in the mechanical/construction environment including contracts, costing, planning, and scheduling an asset
- Trade experience (Steamfitter, Gasfitter, Welder, Plumber) is an asset
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License (G License) is required
- Considerable knowledge of applicable union contracts
- Experience with COR is highly desired
- Strong history of successfully completed projects
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Project, and Word)
- A sound working knowledge of various standard forms of contracts
- Knowledge of construction processes (RFI, RFQ, Change Orders, etc.)

**Salary**: $95,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
