We are seeking a **Junior Cost Controller** to add to our team. This is a 1-year contract opportunity. Being bilingual in **English/Mandarin** is a highly preferred skill for the position.

**Responsibilities**
- Development of weekly/monthly cost report and cost forecast
- Set up and administration of monthly incurred cost flow
- Setting of original budget and estimate recast
- Ensure costs are tracked properly with appropriate use of WBS and coding
- Change management coordination
- Consolidation and development of week/month end cost and progress reporting

**Qualifications**

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

- Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in cost management, earned value, cash flows, invoice support, and performance measurement
- Project Controls experience working on EPCM projects is a benefit
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Measurement (EVM - ANSI EIA-748B) in engineering, procurement & construction
- Cost engineering and estimating knowledge
- General knowledge of, and the interrelationship of a good technical project scope definition, quality of the schedule and estimate, construction sequence and execution, procurement and contracting strategies, commissioning and start up
- Capable of developing and maintaining control budget, and forecast EPC scopes of work
- General understanding of cross-functional interfaces with engineering, procurement - materials & sub-contracts, construction, safety, quality, finance/accounting, and document control
- Capable of managing impact of change & trends, CPI / SPI / MPI
- Understanding of financial interface for expenditures, revenue recognition, invoicing, cash flow / cash calls
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and relationship building skills
- Proven review skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills

**Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training**:
Required:
A university degree or diploma in engineering, business, or technical diploma

Technical and leadership training and project related seminars

Certification by PMI (PMP) and/or AACE or similar accredited project management institute an asset

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
