**Child and Youth Care Support Worker - Full Time - Overnight Awake**

**_We are looking for one (1), full time, forty (40) hours a week, overnight awake, Child and Youth Care Support Worker to join our dynamic and talented team This position has a weekly schedule of Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM._**

**The Meaningful Work You'll Do**:
As a Child and Youth Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and progression of the Client Service Plan program created for each client. This position will assist in the supervision and support of the client while located at the program facility ensuring basic needs are met (food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, safety). The Child and Youth Care Support Worker will maintain a safe, warm and positive environment where children/youth feel welcomed and loved.

**Other responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Assess the needs of the children and youth
- Participate and contribute to service planning
- Assist children and youth to access support as directed by the team leader
- Ensure child and youth basic needs are met (safety, food, clothing, shelter and health care as directed)
- Demonstrate and supervise basic life and community/family living skills
- Support the therapeutic needs of the children and youth
- Ongoing effective communication with supervisor and team members
- Assist in maintaining building and equipment according to Agency Standards/Policies
- Plan and coordinate operational and recreational activities as directed by Team Leader
- Attend mandatory staff meetings
- Complete all relevant program documentation
- Prepare and submit incident/serious occurrence reporting within Agency timelines
- Assist in promoting positive relationships within the community as per our Agency Mission Statement
- Attend all mandatory Agency training/staff development opportunities

**Education and Qualifications**:

- 2 years of experience in working with Children and Youth with complex needs and/or high risk behaviors
- High School Diploma
- Satisfactory Security checks including: Criminal Record and Child Intervention Checks (renewals as required)
- Enrolment in the Agency Group Benefits plan if applicable
- Vehicle, valid driver license and driver abstract with less than 7 demerits
