**Electric Motor Rewind Technician**

**The Opportunity**

The Motor Winder-Technician will work safely in a small shop team work environment with attention to detail, workmanship with excellent interpersonal skills, occasionally with challenging time lines.

**The Role**
- Perform all preliminary testing and results interpretation to determine the condition of equipment electrically, mechanically and have the ability to document/report findings in detail.
- Disassemble and documentation required for all types of AC,DC and rotating apparatus
- Inspect bearings, shafts, bearing fits, couplings, impellers, seals, bushings, commutators, gears and many other components etc., for wear and defects
- Strip, core test, insulate, manufacture coils connect, dip and bake stators, armatures etc and other types of coils
- Perform all electrical testing according to standard specifications
- Dip and bake operations
- Rotor balancing
- Re-assemble and record test results and documentation for all types of AC,DC and rotating apparatus
- Final testing of motors up to 4160VAC, 500VDC
- **Work Experience**: 5+ years
- **Knowledge**: AC/DC hands on winding experience is required, and is the primary qualification. Weld or braze components; Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams; Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications; Instruct apprentices as required.
- Ability to communicate and document clearly in English
- Have a clean and valid G license and be willing to drive pick up and flatbed trucks.
- Please note: flexibility in being able to work overtime is required occasionally to service our customers, often on short notice.
- Share overtime responsibilities within a scheduled "on call" system.
- The ability to work independently onsite at our customers facilities.

Must be able to travel to the USA or other countries for training
