Green Team Member

In efforts to reduce waste and increase waste diversion through recycling and composting, we need Green Team members to help with all things waste Our goal is to continue to reduce waste and Go Green.

**The Role**
- Assist in set up and take down of waste stations
- Direct the public how to properly sort waste
- Sort waste into garbage, recycling and compost bins
- Monitor assigned waste station
- Collect garbage from stations to appropriate dumpsters

**Requirements**:

- Interest or experience in waste management and waste sorting
- Strong knowledge of waste sorting best practices
- Enjoy working with other people including staff, volunteers and event attendees

**Physical Abilities**
- Able to walk/stand the duration of the event
- Work outside
- Ability to lift garbage bags

**Hours**
- Friday August 11th - 11:00am - 10:30pm
- Saturday August 12th - 11:00am - 10:30pm
- Sunday August 13th - 11:00am - 7:00pm

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)

Work Location: In person
