Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice

**Position - Sprinkler-Fitter Apprentice**

**Description**: This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically and physically capable individual. The primary responsibility will be to assist our Journeymen with the installation and servicing of Fire Sprinkler Systems. This role is dynamic and diverse, offering a variety of tasks throughout the week. A strong commitment to serving both external and internal customers, as well as operating at a high level, is crucial.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the pipe system
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools or machines
- Assemble and install a variety of pipes and fittings, including copper, steel, and plastic
- Weld or solder joints to connect pipes and fittings
- Test pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other equipment
- Install pipe hangers and supports to secure pipes in place
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation and functionality of pipe systems
- Follow safety procedures and regulations on job sites
- Assist with inspecting and testing sprinkler systems

**Qualifications**:

- Honesty / Integrity / Trustworthiness
- Able to function independently, but also in a team environment
- Experience with Plumbing or Pipefitting work or completed Pre-Employment program
- Mechanical and spatial aptitude
- Physically fit
- Valid drivers license and vehicle
- Able to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Able to pass vulnerable sector and criminal background checks
