Security Suluk is looking for Intervention Agent (15-25 positions).
**For the Nunavik and for Montreal city.**
**Here is what we need specifically for Intervention Agent**:
- Knows and masters the techniques of the use of force (able to physically control a user without injuring himself and/or injuring his colleagues or the user);
- Has a good ability to adapt to customers from a different cultural background;
- Is sensitive, understanding, mature and demonstrates a positive attitude;
- Shares knowledge and skills, works in collaboration with educators and social workers;
- Respects security and prevention measures and reports to the immediate superior of the Center on repair needs, both for buildings and equipment;
- Participate in team meetings when requested;
- Enters information or information in the communications book and in the files of the young people and reports any incident to the immediate superior of the Center;
- Supervise users with educators inside the Center and during outings outdoor;
- Knows where users and colleagues are at all times;
- Takes care and treats a user when necessary (basic care);
- Transmits all relevant information to staff members during shift changes and team meetings;
- Respects confidentiality (personal information relating to users and their families);
- Respects the laws and regulations of the province of Quebec and Canada as well as the reference frameworks, policies, procedures and regulations in force at the CSTU;
- Maintains good relations with neighbors and the community;
Performs any other related task at the request of the Centre's immediate superior.
- Hold a high school diploma (a nice to have, but not a must);
- Hold a BSP license (Private Security Office);
- Fluency in spoken English (essential); knowledge of French or Inuktitut would be an asset;
- Hold a valid driver's license;
- Being able to physically intervene in a crisis situation;
- Be available to work days, evenings and weekends on shift work of 8, 10 or 12 hours according to the needs of the service;
- Agree to participate in any training offered by his employer or the Center and deemed necessary for the more efficient performance of his duties and functions.
**The places of work would be all 14 communities in Nunavik and 4 centers in Montreal area.**
The Nunavik locations can be full time, on a rotational basis (6 weeks on/off) or short periods of 2-7 days.
The Montreal locations will be up to 40 hours per week with no minimum guaranteed.
Nunavik locations will be between 40-60+ hours per week.
Daily food allowance will be provided depending on the location of work and nature of work (Community posting, escorts, short term task etc.)
The base salary is 20.80 + Prime = 23.00$ / Hour.
So 23$ for the first 40 hours.
After 40 hours, the "Prime" stops, and the half-time is applied = 33.40$/hour.
So after, 40 hours, the salary is 33,40$ / hour.
