The position of Assistant Spa Manager is a salaried position, maintaining an average of 40 hours per week. The Pacific Mist Spa is a 10,000 sq. ft. facility with 70 - 80 employees, 23-treatment rooms, and an indoor hydrotherapy circuit. The chosen applicant must have a desire to support the positive morale, healthy working environment and exceptional guest experience the Pacific Mist Spa takes pride in and is known for. Dedication to reaching revenue, labour, and guest service targets is expected in a fast-paced environment.

Team Management and Support
- Schedule adjustments in the event of illness, staff shortages
- Progressive coaching of employees
- Assistance with and performing team performance reviews
- Lead by example daily, establishing and setting the standards for outstanding guest experiences during check in/out, handling and organization at front desk
- Set standards to exceed guest expectation to ensure Wow factor service and repeat guests

Operations
- Payroll completion as required
- Assistance in receiving and entering retail orders
- Assist with biweekly and monthly ordering of supplies
- To meet and encourage retail sales goals are met, to work with merchandiser and Spa Manager to assure professional image and display of retail area is within set out guidelines

Guest Services
- Follow up with guest comments and feedback
- Support and coaching to the team during guest recovery

Manager on Duty in the Absence of the Spa Manager

Attend industry events, tradeshows, and continued education to maintain knowledge and aptitude of current and future industry trends

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Possess a positive attitude, passionate about providing great guest experiences and works well within a team
- Must have strong decision-making skills, be a proactive problem solver and be successful in conflict resolution
- Effective management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Active listener
- Ability to nurture a good working relationship with other departments
- Minimum 2 year’s experience in a supervisory/managerial role
- Retail Management/Merchandising experience an asset.
- Esthetics or Massage Certification an asset.
- First Aid Certification an asset.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays, according to business demand.
