Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing and managing payroll for our client's employees.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing:
- Complete weekly processing of payroll for various clients according to pay schedules and prior to direct deposit deadlines or client pay days.
- Calculate and include stat holiday pay when required.
- Communicate any pay day delays due to statutory holidays/bank closures to client.
- Adjust or edit any pay prior to the direct deposit deadline or as soon as possible based on communication from client.
- Monitor minimum wage increases, update software and notify clients as required.
- Log all payroll time under each client Financial Cents.
- Complete assigned payroll projects by due date.
- Investigate payroll issues from CRA including coordinating with client and uploading documentation.
- Download remittance letters, PIER letters and other CRA payroll correspondence and keep client apprised of any payroll interest or arrears charges.
Source Deductions
- Run PD7A reports monthly and quarterly before the 7th of each month and forward report to client to pay or approve for payment.
- Log in to CRA to confirm source payments and enter into Sage under Pay Remittance quarterly.
WSIB:
- Submit WSIB claims as required for workplace injuries or infectious disease reimbursement pay.
- Set up new WSIB accounts and link to our company online WSIB account.
- Investigate account issues on behalf of clients.
- Log all time spent downloading quarterly report and filing WSIB under each client in Financial Cents.
ROEs:
- Prepare and submit ROEs as directed by clients to ROE Web.
- Log time spent completing and filing ROEs under each client in Financial Cents.
T4s:
- Log all time spent preparing and submitted T4s under each client in Financial Cents
Other duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
- Proficient in using Sage and Quickbooks Online for payroll
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong organizational and time management skills
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
