**Summary**:
The role of the Superintendent is to provide labour, equipment, and inventory management to the site(s) and when required input and direction to site personnel. At times the Superintendent may directly manage a project and site.

**As a Grade Superintendent, You Will**:

- Support an inclusive employee relationship culture and is accountable for adherence to policies that ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment
- Provide advice, knowledge and guidance to site superintendents and foreperson to improve professional success and develop behaviours and competencies to become effective contributor’s at Huron Construction
- Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants in compliance with Miller Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) polices and contractual HSE obligation for the staff and public are met
- Coordinate and schedule all labour, material, equipment and sub-contractors for each week’s tasks according to project schedules in coordination with the project managers/coordinators and site foreman
- Work with all foreman and staff to help manage field operation budgets (labour, material, equipment) to ensure the project meets the schedule and budget
- Provide personal guidance and technical direction to the site foreman during construction to successfully complete projects in accordance with design, budget and schedule
- Implement, monitor, evaluate and enforce standards of production to ensure site foreman are operating efficiently & effectively
- Work with project managers / site staff to help ensure quality construction standards are being upheld
- Support and drive standards and expectations set by the Operations Manager and Operations Superintendent on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to the site
- Help identify and resolve issues as they arise

**What You’ll Bring**:

- A construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience required
- 7 - 10 years construction experience in a construction supervisory role
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, traffic control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to clearly communicate deliverable project targets and goals and to adapt to project changing conditions
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with a scheduling software, an asset
- Must maintain a valid Class G driver’s license
- Willingness to work weekends and evenings as the project schedules demand
