Library Technician
Full-time Permanent Position Available

The SHA Library provides access to approximately 300 electronic textbooks, 20,000 plus full-text journals and a core suite of electronic databases. The majority of services are provided virtually through the SHA
Library’s website. Additional services are provided at staffed physical locations in Regina at the Regina
General Hospital, Pasqua Hospital and the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager of Knowledge Management & Library Services, the Library Technician will work as part of a team delivering information services to a variety of health care professionals and a broad range of students and physicians from across the Health Authority. The Library Technician will work within
Alma/Primo, the cloud-based library system and will be involved in the implementation of Insignia, the
Library’s new library system. Extensive database work using DB/Textworks is involved. Duties may include processing interlibrary loans, performing document delivery, distribution of current awareness services, customer service and basic client support, daily library system/resource/mobile, and equipment troubleshooting, and all related record-keeping and documentation.

Qualifications:
**Education**:

- Library and Information Technology Diploma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Advanced computer skills
- Detail-oriented, meticulous
- Superior interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work, adapt to changing workloads with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
