Rascals Supervisor

This position is responsible for service and sales in the Rascals Coffee and Gift shop, including staffing, scheduling, training, purchasing and inventories of merchandise and supplies. The supervisor will help insure that Edgewood operates in a manner that is consistent with the goals and objectives of the treatment program and report any concerns to clinical and/or administrative staff. This position enforces all procedures. The Rascals Supervisor is expected to have significant product knowledge and demonstrate positive, friendly and courteous customer service, as well as be able to demonstrate a commitment to our guiding principles and procedures. The supervisor will act as an ambassador on behalf of Edgewood both on and off the job.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Cash management, including sales, daily sales summaries and sales reconciliations.
- Merchandising and stock rotation and periodic inventories.
- Food service and preparation.
- Delegates duties as necessary to staff.
- Create and maintain staff schedule.
- Maintenance of stock levels as needed.
- Partners with the assistant supervisor in creating sales volume growth and creating a positive customer experience.
- Ensure that the store, storage areas and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean manner.
- Informs the Director of Operations of any operational inconsistencies, employee incidents, accidents, potential safety hazards, or any unusual or pertinent events.
- Monitors patients behaviours, shopping habits, over consumption of foods, ensure that patient purchases are conducted according to the “Patient Responsibilities” and/or the general operational procedures of the facility and informs clinical staff when necessary.
- Ensures patients are not in the store when they have scheduled activities.
- Immediately notifies the appropriate clinical staff and management in the event of any emergency or unusual circumstance.
- Administration of any required first aid in case of emergency while waiting for medical emergency professionals to arrive.
- Documents in the appropriate log book any significant occurrences and a general impression of activities during the shift.
- Performs other duties as requested by clinical or administrative staff.
