**Who Are We?**

Awkward Family Photos began with two best friends wanting to create a friendly place for people to come together and share their uncomfortable family moments. Now, they’re opening a professional portrait studio for people to create those uncomfortable and hilarious moments on purpose Welcome to the world of Awkward Family Photos: The Awkward Portrait Studio Guests will have their photos taken with hilarious props and backdrops, receive 10 digital copies and have the option to print and frame their photos in our shop

If you’re a lover of all things comically awkward and a little bit retro, the Awkward Portrait Studio wants you as an Awkward Ambassador We need our ambassadors to take the guest experience at our photo studio to the next level with enthusiasm for the brand and our awkward mission You’ll be responsible for greeting and checking in guests, answering questions, keeping the studio and props organized and maintained, managing the merchandise inventory and more

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet, answer questions, and interact with guests throughout their visit
- Check-in and monitor guest entry
- Perform job responsibilities with a creative flair that elevates the studio narrative
- Provide guests with information about the experience, narrative and general information
- Monitor and assist with guest arrival and maintenance of the waiting area
- Monitor rooms and props in the studio to ensure proper functionality, use, and placement
- Collaborate with other team members to keep the studio clean and organized at all times to create and maintain a pleasant environment for guests
- Clean designated areas within the space (waiting area, studio check-in, studio)
- Operate point of sale system in the merchandise area
- Assist customers and drive sales in our print shop, providing recommendations and information about product features
- Assist with merchandise inventory
- Other duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**
- Must be able to work in person, in Toronto. This is not a remote position
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Good understanding of the Awkward Family Photos brand
- Strong customer service skills and welcoming demeanour required
- An interest in photography and portraits
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.

**Desired Experience & Skills**
- Must have retail or customer service experience
- Must be personable and well groomed
- Respectful, hardworking, and works well in a team environment
- Organized and having time management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision
- Represent the Awkward Family Photos brand with integrity and enthusiasm
- Engage and entertain visitors. Ultimately offer a positive experience
- Set up and close down studio
- Ensure cleanliness of station and overall studio at all times
- Interact with customers to provide top-notch service
- Engage and entertain, be photographed and sociable

**Compensation**:

- Awkward Ambassadors will receive minimum wage hourly rate

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Work Location: In person
