CNC Machinist

We are hiring a **CNC Set up Operators** to join our team on the **Afternoon shift (3pm - 11pm Monday to Friday)**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set-up and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines with Fanuc, Mitsubushi and Heidenhain controls
- Works closely with CNC programmers and Tool & Die Makers
- Set up machines to ensure equipment operates at correct standards for the type of tool
- Provide verification of dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments
- Ensure work piece dimensions are correct and to the established tolerance criteria; Measure, examine & test completed parts; Identify defects and ensure conformance to specifications and blueprints
- Perform “dry runs” to check CNC programs for errors; change and modify programs as required
- Responsible to keep equipment and work area clean & orderly;
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma from a related program (eg. Mechanical Engineering Technician)
- Minimum three (3) years experience on 3-axis CNC milling machine
- Tool & Die job shop/operations experience an asset
- Thorough understanding of G-codes; ability to perform manual programming an asset

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- CNC Set-up Operator: 1 year (preferred)
